Summary
The Capacity Building in the Field of Sport grant aims to strengthen the role of sport as a tool for social and personal development in third countries not associated with the Programme, specifically targeting the Western Balkans and Neighbourhood East regions. The primary goals are to enhance the capacity of grassroots sport organizations, encourage greater participation in sport and physical activity, and use sport as a means to promote social inclusion and positive values such as fair play, tolerance, and team spirit. The grant also seeks to foster international cooperation through joint initiatives, supporting the development of cohesive communities and the personal growth of individuals.
Eligibility for this grant is centered on organizations active in the field of sport, forming multilateral partnerships between entities in Programme countries and those in the targeted third countries. Proposals should address thematic areas such as the promotion of common values, non-discrimination, and gender equality through sport. Additional focus areas include developing skills for the social involvement of disadvantaged groups, supporting the integration of migrants, and contributing to post-conflict reconciliation efforts.
The impact of the grant is expected to be significant in promoting social inclusion and cohesion, empowering disadvantaged groups, and fostering cross-regional cooperation. By supporting grassroots organizations and targeted initiatives, the grant aims to create lasting positive change in the communities involved.
