Summary

The Creative Innovation Lab aims to foster the development and dissemination of innovative tools, models, or solutions that bridge the audiovisual sector with at least one of the following: music, books, or museums. The primary goal is to encourage cross-sectoral cooperation to support environmental transition, enhance competitiveness, and increase the circulation, visibility, and diversity of European content. The initiative also seeks to help these sectors adapt to emerging opportunities presented by artificial intelligence and virtual worlds, aligning with broader European priorities such as the Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus. Funded projects should focus on areas like virtual worlds for content promotion, innovative business tools leveraging new technologies, rights management, data analysis, and environmentally sustainable practices.

Eligibility extends to a broad range of organizations, including private and public entities, tech companies, start-ups, and cultural or creative organizations. Business incubators and accelerators are particularly encouraged to participate, providing a nurturing environment for creative ideas. Projects must clearly demonstrate a cross-sectoral approach and outline strategies for sustainability, gender balance, inclusion, and diversity. However, certain activities such as multimedia art installations, promotional campaigns, reference works, and e-learning platforms are ineligible for funding.

The anticipated impact includes improved competitiveness and adaptation to digital transformation, increased visibility and audience for European content, and accelerated environmental transition within the targeted sectors. The program supports the creation of a more sustainable, inclusive, and innovative European cultural landscape.
